Starting a new position at SLU

I’m really excited to be moving into a permanent Researcher position at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) next week! In this position, I am working across a range of projects investigating ecological and evolutionary impacts of emerging environmental contaminants. The main focus of this role is studying how the presence of emerging contaminants (e.g. pharmaceuticals, endocrine-disrupting chemicals) in aquatic ecosystems might impact wildlife populations and ecosystem functioning. In particular, I am investigating how exposure to emerging forms of pollution could impact complex traits and behavioural processes in aquatic species, including cognition and learning, social networks and collective behaviour, and interspecific interactions (e.g. predator-prey relationships).
