Taking on a new role at the Arthur Rylah Institute

I’m excited to share that I have recently accepted a new role as Principal Research Scientist in Applied Ecology at the Arthur Rylah Institute for Environmental Research, in Melbourne, Australia.

I look forward to joining ARI’s Community Ecology leadership team and contributing to the delivery of impactful science that makes a meaningful difference to biodiversity conservation and sustainable ecosystem management in Victoria.

At the end of this month, I will be leaving my position as Associate Professor at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Umeå to take up the new role. It is both happy and sad news: I am excited about the new challenges and opportunities ahead, but I have loved my time working at SLU and living in Sweden, and I will miss both very much.

A big thank you to all my friends, colleagues, and mentors at SLU and elsewhere who have supported me and contributed to my journey so far. I will be maintaining my academic affiliations in both Sweden and Australia, and I look forward to continuing to work together. A special thank you to Tomas Brodin, Anders Alanärä, and Göran Ericsson.
